Does anyone know if this is a bug or was it removed and they forgot to remove the actual option to display it? Click agree when this shows up -- Improve location accuracy?
I had the same problem with the pedometer widget, which I solved by toggling the Additional information and Pedometer settings on and off and rebooting. -- Then go to the clock-weather app (should be on your homescreen). DONOT type and search for your location instead press the 'location icon' and let your phone automatically locate you.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone, in my previous version of Android (presumably Kit Kat), I configured it to show basic weather information on the lock screen for that day (typically temperature and overall conditions outside).
This setting is in Settings check "Weather" box to enable.
Press [Set Tile] to generate tile images and schedule live tiles. (optional) Right-click or click right-bottom button to pin additional tiles (up to 3).
Thanks to the enterprising works of an XDA-Devs member, dubbed "aviotron," we can now easily install the new Sense 6.0 weather&clock widget on any Android handset.
Granted, it is just a mockup, but it works quite well for what it is supposed to do, and the appearances are very close, which is all that matters, if you are bored with your current homescreen layout.
The weather and clock information is displayed on white background, and doesn't throw too much info at you, like some other clock widgets we know.
If you want to peruse something similar on your Android phone, you don't have to buy the One M8, and you don't even have to have an HTC phone.
